Please introduce yourself.
Hello, I am Kevin Davis, the founder/owner/CEO of Kevisyde Global. I am a multi-talented individual with a diverse range of skills, including authorship, comic writing, mental health advocacy, and inspirational leadership. Through storytelling and humor, I aim to shine a light on important issues surrounding mental health and wellness, inspiring and uplifting others through my work.
What genres do you write and why?
I primarily write in the genres of horror and fantasy. I am drawn to these genres for their ability to transport readers to new worlds and evoke powerful emotions through storytelling.
What is your earliest memory of reading?
One of my earliest memories of reading was delving into “The Hunger Games” as a child. This captivating book sparked my love for literature and storytelling.
When did you know you wanted to write? How did it happen?
I discovered my passion for writing when my mother introduced me to a murder mystery book. Inspired by her and the imaginative worlds portrayed in TV shows and movies, I felt compelled to explore my creativity through writing.
What’s one of your favorite scenes in one of your books?
I particularly enjoy crafting action sequences and showcasing the vulnerability of characters in my books. These moments bring depth and authenticity to the storytelling.

What makes a good character? A bad one?
A good character is one that is well-developed, relatable, and undergoes growth throughout the story. Their complexity, flaws, and strengths add depth to the narrative.
A bad character lacks depth, development, and relatability. They may come across as one-dimensional, clichéd, or inconsistent, failing to engage the audience or contribute meaningfully to the story. It is important for characters to have complexity, motivations, and growth to resonate with readers and enhance the overall narrative.
What moves the story for you?
I am driven by character development in storytelling. Watching characters evolve and overcome challenges propels the narrative forward and engages readers on an emotional level.
What is your favorite book and why?
“Percy Jackson” holds a special place in my heart as one of my favorite books. The way it intertwines mythology with a captivating storyline is truly enchanting and inspiring to me.
What do you want to say to your audience?
I hope my work inspires and uplifts you, fostering a sense of community and understanding. Thank you for your support and encouragement.
What advice do you have for new writers?
